Has anyone else noticed this? I saw this reference to lagging. 9to5Mac was able to notice these changes by forcibly enabling Universal Control on a Mac running macOS Monterey beta 10. Universal Control was set to arrive in October with the launch of iPadOS 15 and macOS 12 Monterey, but it saw delays, most likely to how the complications could be with sharing files between two.

#Universal control mac delayed for mac
I appreciate the set-up is unusual, though I think other people use headless Mac minis as HTPCs / servers. I have tested using YouTube, and also the BBC iPlayer App. This is done in the Link/Tempo/MIDI tab of Lives Preferences, which can be opened with the CTRL -, (Win) / CMD -, (Mac) keyboard shortcut. It's a mild enough lag that I am questioning myself, but I think it is there.
#Universal control mac delayed tv
My set-up is having an M1 Mac mini connected to a TV panel, which is in turn connected to Sonos: I have used a virtual KVM from a MacBook for a long time to control this, first Teleport, and after it was discontinued (but before I was aware of the Github project to keep it going) now Synergy, which I hate as it is flakey and configuration arbitrary, but which I have been reluctant to play with… until now.īut: I think I am seeing a half-second-maybe less-audio lag on the Mac mini (~client) when using "Link keyboard and mouse to", as opposed to Synergy when I use that there is no audio-visual sync lag. At this point, it’s unclear why Universal Control is not officially available in the macOS Monterey beta.
